This is the waiting period till I get my labor approval within 1 to 3 months? And then can I convert my status from h4 to h1? Any help appreciated. Link to comment

Once the principal applicant (your wife) is outside the country beyond a certain duration your H4 status ceases to exit. You need to exit US. Link to comment
