ktb123 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Hi Guys, I have approved i-140 and completed 6 years on H1B. Now i have filed for transfer to new employer for 7 th year and got approval notice. But my H1B approval copy is missing the I-94 card/number. My question: 1. As this is not my first H1B or visa stamping, do i need to go to home country for visa stamping or can i go to other countries like Mexico, Bahamas..etc get visa stamped and return with I-94 card? 2. If they had mentioned to go to home country for visa stamping, can we request uscis to change the stamping consulate venue to Mexico, Bahamas etc..? if so how long does it take to get the response. Please help me as i'm in bad situation now

If USCIS has mentioned go to home country then there is no alternative even if this is not your first stamping. You cannot request them to change the consulate.
