madypatel
Hi I am a US Citizen and My fiance is on H1B visa. We are planning to go India to get marry with Hindu Rituals. However, befor going to India, my fiance is planning to go Canada for H1B visa stamping. My question is. If We do register marraige in U.S.A and then travel to India. Is it still required for him to go for stamping ? I am planning to apply for his GC after coming back to India. Link to comment

madypatel
Thank you so much for the reply. What does AP means? How long it will take ? Link to comment
pontevecchio
Advance Parole usually takes 3 months. In view of the situation with the government it may take longer. If his H1 situation is rock solid he can go and get the visa in Canada and if approved you can directly get married in India and he can come back in H1 status and then you can file. There is a time to save money and sometimes a time to spend. Please schedule a consultation with say the firm of Murthy and go over possibilities. In the scheme of things a Marriage is worth starting with no trouble from the US Government. There is no major problem involved and many ways to approach this. Talk to a Lawyer. Make your fiancé pay? Just kidding. Link to comment
