H1 Extension beyond 6th year

Hi,

My H1B is expiring Nov 1, 2013 (Including recapture). My company filed PERM on Aug 02, 2012 and is still pending on audit. My company filed the 1 year extension on Oct 6, 2013 based on pending PERM. Do I need to stay out of country till i get the decision of the H1 extension? or is it OK to stay based on the fact that extension is filed before H1 expiry?
