Dhana29
Hi, I applied H1B through consultancy on April'13. That time i hold L1B but I was in India. Got a emergency travel to US with my L1B on Aug'13 to Jan'14. Now i'm currently in US working under company A in L1B. My H1B status is RFE moved on Aug 15 '13 for E-E Relationship agreemt. Note: My H1B is not COS its applied thrught consultancy. My questions is 1) What is max Time taken to know the H1B status is approved or denied for the year 2013? 2) If my H1B got approved do i need to start work only after stammped? 3) After H1B Apporved Can I start working without H1B Stamp? 4) What is diff b/w COS and normal consultancy H1B Application? Thanks, Dhana Link to comment
t75
Your questions are very basic. You need to read the USCIS website for your rights and responsibilities on both L1B and H1B. Link to comment

Thanks, Dhana 1. Nothing like that exists 2. Either after stamping or applying for a change of status from L1 to H1B when in US 3. In your case no. 4. COS is done when you are in US on a different status and it does not need visa stamping. Link to comment

If it was an approval with COS from L1B to H1B you would have to start working from oct 1st 2013. Link to comment
