Farhana Posted October 1, 2013 Report Share Posted October 1, 2013 Hi, I am a GC holder, sponsoring my husband whose currently on H1 visa. We have been called for a marriage based green card interview by USCIS but I have two problems. 1- I have lost my birth certificate 2- My Pakistani passport has expired and won't be renewed by the interview date. Do you think above mentioned issues can cause a problem at the interview? Please advise. Link to comment

sharin Posted May 2, 2015 Report Share Posted May 2, 2015 I agree with Belle - as long as your (petitioner) Green card is not lost or expired. They'll be interested in your husband's Birth Certificate & Passport which you might have sent with petition already. Link to comment
