H1 validity with old employer

With my previous employer A, I have validity till March 2014.

I joined employer B in May 2013 on receipt notice and waiting on approval.  

Meantime situation with employer B is not in good condition so worst case Can I do contracting with employer A. Is it allowed?

If employer A has not revoked your H1B petition you can. Otherwise, employer A has to file a cap exempt H1B petition and on approval you can work.

Yes you can do that..just ask employer B to withdraw your application...anways its not a good idea to join any employer with just the receipt notice these days.

Thanks everyone for response. Employer A has not revoked my H1 yet. Employer B responded RFE, so in worst case if it gets denied still I can work for Employer A.

If you are currently working with A then you are good to go.
