Visa Stamp On Passport For GC

Hi All.

 

My wife has both visitor and H4 visa

After coming to US on H4 she got H1 approved, now she is applying for GC as she is eligible for  EB2 ,

my GC is already applied on EB3 and in process

 

Question:

 

Is it mandatory to have H1B visa stamping on her passport to apply GC ?

GC is not related to H1.

A person without entering into US can also get GC.
