RoeDeVinna
I am inquiring about a tourist visa for my mother, I am getting married in the US in may 2014, Is it possible for her to get a tourist visa if she has previous criminal convictions for shoplifting, assault which occurred years ago when she was like 19. She is now in her 40's She will not get a visa waiver so there is no point in even applying. Will she just need police certificate from each country she lived in e.g. Ireland, UK Link to comment
omshiv
You never know...but she has to mention this in the DS-160 form. Rest depends on the VO. Link to comment
pontevecchio
She should apply for the visa and let the chips fall where they may. It is not possible to guestimate. I suspect they may not need any police clearance IN VIEW OF THE TIME WHICH HAS ELAPSED. Link to comment
Deepp
Hi, I traveled to USA 3 years ago on a tourist visa and was caught shoplifting. I pled guilty and paid the fee and came back to India. The case is now settled but not expunged. Can i visit USA again/ Should I go for expungement so the usics can't see my record at port of entry? Please let me know Link to comment
t75
Expungement does not matter to US immigration. You MUST disclose your conviction. No one can predict whether you will be admitted or excluded. Link to comment
