Satya Proddaturi Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Hello, My VISA validity -- Sep 2013 My I797 with new employer validity -- Feb 2014 We visited Mexico and since my passport was up for renewal, the USCIS officer has given the I94 card validity only till my passport expiration date. Could someone guide me in the process of renewing my I94 ? We have visited CBP in ORD and some other places, they asked us to see USCIS but werent sure. The only option they gave us is go outside US and come back. We don't hold a Canadian visa, is it ok to drive to Detroit and go to Canada and come back with new I94 card OR Going to Mexico is the best bet ?
catchgul Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 I believe your only option is to go out of US and come back but make sure you have a new passport this time. You can go to Canada only if you have a Canadian visa. You can consider going to Mexico coz you dont need a visa there.
