Only first name in passport - DS160 last name field?

Guys,

 

I'm filing a DS160 form for my spouse and she only has her first name in the passport. I just wanted to know how to reflect that in the DS160. Has anyone been into that situation?

Unless you want to have her known as FNU in the USA I would first get her name corrected to a first and a last in her Passport and then fill up the DS-160. It will cause trouble in terms of DL etc. and hence have it corrected first.

I think the first name will become the last name in DS160 and for the first name, you will have to write FNU, which is first name unavailable. This is clearly defined in DS-160 form.
