Unpaid Leave On Opt-extension

I am currently working for the research group, and for somewhat reasons, the research is temporarily halted. It may take up to 60 days to restart the program, so the group leader want to make me a 60-day-unpaid leave. Since I have already used 80 unemployed days, I am worried about the status. I will be still on the list of employee and is not fired by the company, does this leave count toward 120-day OPT rule? Thanks,
