I have switched 3 companys during my OPT and I am on EVC model. I have a client letter Vendor letter to go for stamping. Didi Master here and my F1 visa expire in October 2013 My questions are 1) on my LCA salary is 75K USD but my payroll salary is 90k ..That's what is on my pay stubs ( will there be any problem with this?) what should I fill in my DS 160 in salary tab Paystub amount or LCA amount? 2) I did Masters in Electrical Engineering and my role is Programmer Analyst will this be an issue? 3) My client provides me a client letter and my LCA is with current client location..what else could be a road block in my case? They do not match at all. Senior members would let you know what your situation could be. Any consulate is fine as long as your and your employer's credentials are good
ottawa_rocks Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 haha are you planning for a honeymoon or what, no matter whereever you go, everyone uses COMPUTERS these days if you still don't know !
ottawa_rocks Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 & i know how you are showing as programmer analyst --> chance of rejection = HIGH ! Electrical Engineering has NOTHING to do with PROGRAMMER ANALYST WORK !
omshiv Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Consulate location doesn't matter. Choose the one which is convenient to you. Expect a question on why you are working in a different field than your MS. Always TRUTH should be the answer
H1futuristic Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 1) I guess, you should have to fill your paystub salary into DS160, regardless of LCA & that's your actual salary. If you're getting paid higher than LCA amount, It'd be good for you as salary should be equal or higher than LCA amount. 2) Try to show some software related programs in your MS or any extra training you did after MS Electrical Engg. 3) You're in a good shape. Don't worry, just keep all docs together.
omshiv Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 2) Try to show some software related programs in your MS or any extra training you did after MS Electrical Engg. What if the OP has not done any Software Related programs in his MS. NEVER EVER LIE to a US Immigration Officer. You'll get a Lifelong ban.

That's not a big deal 2. You know better than anyone 3.Nothing. You are good to go Their is no best consulate. Just have all the docs.
