Visitor Visa Extension

Hi

 

My parents are in USA and their I-94 expires on Aug-26th. I just bought my first home. We are expecting the closing date to be last week of August and the Housewarming Party to be September 1st week. Our parents are considering applying for the extension.

 

Is attending a Housewarming party valid reason for visa extension ?

 

With just few days remaining before I-94 expiry is it a good idea to do it ?

It is not at all a good idea to stay beyond I94 expiration date on a visitor visa. If you apply for an extension and if it gets denied there is a possibility that their visitor visa gets canceled.

Reddy!! That's not a valid reason for extension. Expect a denial.

Contact an attorney. If you extend now, they may ace more questions on their next arrival. Choose your course wisely
