H1 Approved: Fresh I94 Issued: L1 Pending

Hi

 

I have got my H1 approved and I have been issued a new I94 last week which is valid from October 1st 2013. However I also applied for L1 last year in November for which the decision is still pending, now my initial I94 got expired on January 19th 2013 and my 240 days are getting over on 16th September 2013

 

Can I stay in US post 16th September as I ll have a valid I94 from 1st October ( So for 2 weeks 16th Sep - 30th Sep I ll not be in lawful status in US) however with this I can avoid the risk of denial while stamping in India however if my stay gets unlawful for 14 days after Sept16, is it going to impact me in any manner.

You can stay till the L1 extension is denied. Why is the H1 visa such a problem?

Thanks for the response, does this mean I can stay even after 240 days if L1 decision does not come

I am worried for H1 stamping as one of my colouge was approved visa however was denied while stamping
