minhas Posted July 24, 2013 Report Share Posted July 24, 2013 If the potential new employer is not hiring anyone who needs sponsorship, would it be advisable to start employment with them on EAD. It appears that the employer is trying to hire American workforce (although its purely due to budget cuts) and the person on EAD is not technically in the American workforce or is he/she is ? I have EAD, but have beeen using my H1B, this interesting new opportunity has come across where I'll have to get on the EAD to start employment. The job responsibilties are very similar to what I currently do and have the EAD for. Link to comment
Belle Posted July 24, 2013 Report Share Posted July 24, 2013 Get a consultation with a lawyer who can explain the risks and opportunties to you. It's not clear what your EAD is based on and whether you need or even eligible for AC21 portability. Link to comment
