H1B Visa Stamped but not traveled to US

Hi, I in dilemma in taking decision. 

 

Actually I have got a H1B visa stamped in month of couple of months back. But due to some project problem at client end my travel to US has been cancelled. 

 

My question is whether am I applicable to apply in other company based on H1B visa which I am holding. Will other consider my H1B visa. Will any of the company in India do this type of hiring based on my visa. or do US based company consider me for their requirement  as am holding H1B. 

 

And most important if I resigned current company do they have rights to cancelled my H1B visa. What precautions do I need to take before resign the company.

 

Pls guide me.

You have been cap counted. In the absence of fraud you are entitled to a total of 6 years in H1 status with any number of employers.

You have the right to transfer your H1B visa to a new employer. The new employer has to file a H1B petition and has to get it approved before your travel to work in US. By law, when you resign your current employer has to inform USCIS and get the petition canceled. But, it is not going to affect the new H1B petition.

I think you can transfer your Visa how ever check with your new employer/company.
