I94 online record shows original admitted until date after extension approval

Hi,

 

I came to US on Mar 31, 2012 on a H1B and original I94(paper) was valid till 11/3/2012. I applied for an extension last year and it got approved and I got a new paper I94 valid till 11/3/2013. However, when I checked the cbp.gov I94 online database for my data today, it shows original I94 validity date of 11/3/2012 only which is what was stamped when I entered the country originally.

Attorneys, please advise whether I need to go to local CBP deferred inspection office to correct this or not.

Since you have the paper I94 I suggest you have too much time on your hands. What more do you want?

Thanks Pontevecchio. It is not as if I have too much time on my hands, but I need an attorney's opinion on whether paper I94 is sufficient or I need to make the effort to update my online record as well.
