h1 b extension and cooling period

Hi, I have a question about cooling period for H1 B.

 

I have a h1 b petition approved in 2006.

I used the petition from 2006- 2010 for 4 years and left USA for good.

 

After around 3 years, Now again I am planning to come to USA to work through a different employer.

 

Can you please let me know how many years extension I can get if I am applying through h1 cap exempted case?

 

Also I am out of usa for more than 1 year can this be counted as cooling peoriod and I can get additional 6 years?

2 years. If you want the 6 then have a sponsor file a cap subject H1 next April to start from Next October.
