Hello,

I have a question on my upcoming travel plans to UK.

I am currently working on H-1B visa in the US; and have a valid I-797/I-94 expiring in 02/2016. I got imy H-1B this year, and thus have not got it stamped on my passport. I also have a US tourist visa (B1/B2) valid till 08/2016 (this is stamped on my passport). My old I-94 card as stamped on the passport was valid till Sept '2012.

Can I travel to UK without getting my current H-1B stamped on the passport? Would I be able to get UK tourist visa and be able to enter back into US on my visitor visa?

Please advise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

H1B has nothing to do with UK Tourist Visa...both are independent.

You dont need stamping..while on your way back to the US...just show your new H1 petition(797) and you should be all set.

OP needs H1 visa stamp while returning back. He is entering as H1B job holder.

Omshivji, Would you read the post again? The OP cannot come back without a H1 visa. He would seem to have no H1 visa.

@OP, You may get the tourist visa to the UK. But you need a H1 visa if you want to return and work for the H1 sponsor.
