H1b or L2 EAD - Dilemma!

My husband is on H1B (only valid petition and valid I-94 till 2016)  & I am on L1B (valid till late 2015) - currently we stay apart. My husband wants to move to my area because his employer and work are not good. He is looking for H1B transfer/job through consultants as well as full time, but unfortunately nothing is working out now. We also have to visit India in August 2013, i.e. in another 1.5 months. 

 

If he does not get a job before July end, our last option is to get L2 stamped for him when we visit India in August, after coming here get an EAD and then look for a job.

 

But many friends have advised that why should he lose the H1B status simply - WE ARE CONFUSED!!

 

I am not sure if it is easier to get a job on L2 or H1B transfer, please help!

L2 EAD means the ability to work for anybody in any field. The H1 duration remains available for future use since L2 periods are delinked from H1 periods for the purpose of the 6 years in total. Choose friends with better knowledge of the system. L2 any day, specially with H1 time available after the L2 period ends.
