L1 to F1 COS

Hi,

I'm currently on L1B visa which will expire on 5th July 2013. I have applied for COS from L1B to F1 to do MBA from one of the college in US. My classes will begin from 24th August. My question is:

 

Can I stay in US after 5th July while my F1 application is in process and awaiting for decision.

When does the L1 I94 expire?

If change of status application receipt date falls before your I-94 expiry date, you are allowed to stay until the application gets adjudicated. The receipt date should also fall before your last day at work if you have stopped working.
