immigrationpark Posted June 13, 2013 Report Share Posted June 13, 2013 Hi , I am on H1B and i got visa stamping that expires on SEP 30 , 2013 i am planning to go to canada for my extenstion at end of the july 2013 i got client letter and all required documents wat are the chances to comeback to US if any thing goes wrong can i come back to US before sep 30, 2103 Please advise Link to comment
sudheer339 Posted June 13, 2013 Report Share Posted June 13, 2013 If i am not wrong, this is what i understood. You got your first H1B stamping, which expires by Sept 30th 2013. Now you got your new H1B extension, planning to go to Canada for H1B stamping on new extension. if the above info. is correct, Then, lets say the H1B stamping on new extension is rejected, i think you still would be able to come to US, as long as you come on or before Sept 30th 2013(as per previous H1B stamping date). pontevecchio Posted June 17, 2013 Report Share Posted June 17, 2013 The first step in getting the new visa is cancellation of the previous visa without prejudice. Hence you cannot bank on being able to come back if the visa is denied for whatever reason. come back. Link to comment
