Query regarding H1B rejection / lottery non-selection

Hi,

I’m a new H1B applicant with an employment offer. My OPT and 60 day grace period has expired and I’m not eligible for STEM extension. If I do not make it in the lottery what are my options (if any) to remain in the US until the next year. (ex: B1 Visa, New F-1 Student Visa, etc.)

Once I know that my H1B petition is not selected/approved, within how many days do I need to leave the US?

No options. If you are married H4 is the only option, else you have to leave US.

Don't worry, your H1 petition might be selected.

If your H1 petition is not approved you need to leave after that "as soon as possible." What is your cap gap status?
