Folks,

Has someone visited the US consulate in Matamoros, Mexico recently (April '13) for H1B visa stamping? If yes, can you please share your experience.

How is the law & order situation in Matamoros with the drug cartels duking it out in the streets?

That's mexico dude, you can expect anything at anytime. Better to go to home country.

One important thing, you won't see these in the media so don't think that everything is fine their.

I have been to Matamoros in April 2013. Everything went fine. No issues. I went with an agent. It is MAS service. He took care of everything. This was my 3rd stamping in Matamoros. There were no issues anytime.
