H1B and start of GC

I 'm in a strange situation. I 'm working for one of the American companies for the past five years on H1B. Last year during the GC surge - me and my husband appled for 485 and got Employment authorization on pending 485 application thorugh my husband's employer.. ( i didn't mention this with my current employer). So last Dec went to India for couple of weeks using Advance Parole and came back and joined my company and continuing H1-B with them. Now my company wants to apply GC for me. So my question is - is it a good suggestion to go ahead with the GC filing thorugh my current employer just to be on the safe side( i dont want to take any chances).

if so do i need to submit the latest I-94 that has the AOS status on that ? If then will there be possibility that they will hault my process of filing GC? please suggest.

have an open and honest dialog with your employer. Employer can then talk to the attorney and make a good decision. being open and honest goes a long way.
