H1B transfer without SSN no in paystubs

Hi ,

Recently my H1b(H4 to H1) got approved and after that i applied for SSN. It's more than 3 three weeks still i didn't get my SSN. Meanwhile i got another good offer and i want to transfer to that company.

I have one paystubs(with out SSN no on it). What are the possibilities for transfer with one paystubs that to which didn't have SSN no?.

Note: I have SSN applied confirmation receipt and i have all previous(H4) valid status documents.

Please help me.

Not sure, but I think paystubs do not have SSN

SSN is supposed to be kept secret and not put on salary slips. Did you check with other people in your company about this?

Hi,

As per my knowledge there would not be SSN number printed on Paystubs.(I worked with 3 companies up here and I didn't find any employer providing SSN information on Paystub).

For your next question,Please let your employer Immigration department know that you had applied for SSN and it's in process,they would understand and wait until you get your SSN.(Normally it takes 3 to 4 weeks for ur SSN number to generate).

As I had been in the same situation that you are 2 years back nothing to worry as long as your new employer supports you.
