Travel to India after appliyng for H1b Renewal extension.

Hi All,

I have a question, my current H1b is going to expire on Aug ending 2013

1. Can I file for my H1b Renewal extension and travel to india, while the case is still in pending?
   
2. What if I get approval, when I am in india. Can I return to US with old valid Visa Stamping ?
   
3. I heard that, it is not good to go out of USA after filling for H1b extension. USCIS might treat the case as abandoned.
   
4. My travel to india is for 4 weeks vacation.

=> If you leave USA while your extension is is process, you H1b may approve but your extension of status will be failed. Best bet, do it in PP, leave US once the H1b and extension is approved.
