anusha_rao Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Hi all, I'm planning to apply for H-1 this April'2013 under premium processing. My OPT is up to Feb 2014. I'm planning to travel to my country this May'2013. My question is after H-1 approval in the month of April'2013 can i travel to my country on OPT in the month of May'2013 ? Is it safe to travel so? Please provide your inputs on this.
pontevecchio Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 If you travel while a COS is pending the H1 petition may be approved though not the COS. The question is whether you feel you will have a problem getting the H1 visa//?
anusha_rao Posted March 19, 2013 Author Report Posted March 19, 2013 My questions here are: 1) what if i apply for H1-B in April, whether i get the result or not, can i travel to India in May??? Is it safe to go and come back or else will i be questioned at port of entry???
