This is a tricky situation. You need to ask your employer why is he doing that. Secondly if VO asks this question then you should be ready to prove that you stay in CA (address proof, flight tickets) and fly to NY for work.

@shekar11 ...Thanks for Replying

My employer says that since my LCA is multi location LCA, you can have your payroll run at my employer base location i.e CA.

And I don't travel between CA & NY, I stay in NY where I work ...

Will this be a issue, If VO asks I can't prove anything like flight tickets etc...

your employer provides both locations where u work on lca...ie client location as additional location and primary location as ur employer address...

it doesnt matter....if vo asks u have to say that u worked at employer location and travel sometimes to work at client location..

yes it might be a problem... may b you have to tell the VO that you are tele commuting from ur employer location

Rule #1: Never lie to an immigration official.

They can easily find out if this is true or not, e.g., by just calling the client.

A lie can result in a lifelong ban.

Remember, if you get caught lying during the interview it leads to life long ban from entering into US.

I think this is standard process. LCA should specify the work location, and the notification is displayed for 10 business days. If its a client location, then yes - its displayed in the client's office location (cafeteria, office bulletin board etc).

I feel you are worrying unnecessarily - experts please correct me if needed.

Thanks Guys. I am not tele-commuting and obviously will not lie to VO.

May be I am worrying too much, it might a general practice among EVC model, Just pray that this Q doesn't come in the discussion.

Please Let me know if there is any additional Opinion/comment on this topic. ...will help me a lot ...Thanks Guys

I work in EVC model. LCA has client address. My employer puts my home address (same state as client) and puts his address in TX. I just went thru 221-G process at Toronto, Canada and this question never popped up either in interview or email communication with US Consulate after interview date. I got my H-1B stamped after 3.5 weeks.

Don't like the answer, eh?

I am not here to tell you all is fine, I am here to tell you facts.

If you don't like the facts, well, go ahead and get a lifelong ban...
