csri82 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Hello, I have been working with my company from jan 2013 in VA and moved to CA in Aug 2013. But my paycheck was being processed with VA address from Aug 2013 - Dec 2013. I am on H1B now Can I file tax returns for entire year to just VA state with my VA address? Will this have any impact on GC processing (I140 approved, waiting on dates to be current) ? Please help. Link to comment

metroguy Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 you have to file taxes based on your paystubs. If taxes are withheld in VA for the entire year, then you have to file taxes only for VA. Link to comment
