jyothi9
I came to US on F2 visa. Last year i applied for COS to F1 . I am currently a full time student in Wright state university on F1. I am in my first semester. My husband is on H1-B. I want to go to India to attend a family affair.I will have to go to F1 interview . What are my chances of getting an F1? How can i prove my non-immigrant intent? In case my F1 gets rejected , i can apply for a h4 .But will a f1 rejection affect my H4 application too? please advice as i cant make up my mind whether or not i shud go to india? Link to comment
pontevecchio
Remove the word intent from your vocabulary and mind set. Answer questions truthfully. You must have a reason why you chose Wright state university and that course. If your grades are adequate/good you should be able to get the F1 visa. If not the H4 visa is only tied to the credibility of the H1 status. Link to comment
jyothi9
Thanks for the reply. In case my F1 gets rejected and i come back on H4 and apply for a COS to F1 here in the US..will my COS petetion be rejected because of my F1 rejection stamp on my passport? Link to comment
pontevecchio
Be truthful. It is not possible for the VO to know more than you about your choice of major. OPT is a valid reason for the F1 specially if your grades are good. If you come back in H4 status the COS to F1 should be easy if the paperwork is done right. One more reason for Hilary to retire from politics. Link to comment
