Employee Contract Interpretation

I have filed for an H1-B transfer to a desi consulting firm who has following clause on the contract. I am trying to verify whether it means I have to start working for them once I get the receipt for H1-B transfer or does it means they will wait till my H1-B transfer is approved?

"Consultant's employment will become effective upon receipt by Company XX of a valid U.S.A. work authorization and Consultant reporting to Company XX's office and/or designated client site in the U.S.A. Consultant's employment will continue until terminated by either Consultant or Company XX by giving of at least 2 (two) weeks written notice."

A receipt is not work authorization.
