vsk417 Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 Hi, I am currently in India and holding a valid B1 Visa.One of my client company in US is now willing to hire me for a position in US.Which option should be better for me ? I need to start working there on 1st April 2013. H1 or L1 ? My employer is willing to provide any of the above. What is the advantage of H1 over L1 ? My wife is also willing to work in US after reaching there.So in that case is L1 better for me than H1 ? Link to comment
pontevecchio Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 You can only work in H1 status after October,1 if your H1 petition is approved. If you qualify for the L1 your employer can file a L1 petition for you along with L2 for your wife. A person in L2 status can work with the EAD. Link to comment
