H1 B Transferred to new employer but still working for old employer

Hi ,

My H1B transfer is approved and as per offer i will be joinning the new employer on Jan 14 2013.

But still i will be continuing my old employer until Jan 21st as my project implementation is getting completed during jan 15 to Jan 20.

As per my new employer i am planning to join the new company but still i will be in bench until jan 21st. So thought of continuing my old project until Jan 21st and then start working actually for new company.

My question is>

1. Can i continue that 1 week (Jan 14 to jan 21) with my old employer for the project work....?

2. Pay stub also will be generated from the old employer for the days i worked and new employer will start paying me from Jan 14 - is that valid?
