Sk321 Posted January 4, 2013 Report Share Posted January 4, 2013 Hi, I am on OPT extension and it expires in February 2014. But my F1 visa expires on June 2013. My question is I'm travelling to India this month for my wedding and will be back on Feb 22nd. Would it be a problem at the immigration as my valid F1 visa period is less than six months or is it fine as I have valid OPT status till Feb' 2014? I'm working now and have client letter too. I heard that when we enter US we should have a minimum validity of 6 months. Please let me know. I really appreciate your help. Thanks Link to comment

Her OPT expires on 14th April 2014 and F1 visa expires in Dec 2013. She is planning to travel in Nov 2013. Sk321, please let us know your experience once you come back.
