madhuvarma Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 We have booked the appointment in Toronto , Canada. I have a question regarding the infants allowed at the embassy. I have heard that the kids are not allowed in some forums. We have 8 months old baby US.Citizen and wanted to know if he is allowed at the embassy. Please advise ,Thanks in advance.
dsp236 Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Kids / infants are allowed but they may not allow stroller, baby cream or extra diapers, baby formula food & other stuff.
pontevecchio Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Minor children of applicants with a scheduled appointment are permitted to enter with their parents.http://toronto.usconsulate.gov/visas/advice-for-visa-applicants.html

madhuvarma Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks for all of your replies. Can I know if any one is went to consulate with the infants who are U.S Citizens and they allowed. As the web site (http://toronto.usconsulate.gov/visas/advice-for-visa-applicants.html) shows only for the applicant who is minor allowed with the helper and not sure if infant doesn't need visa stamping are allowed inside consulate.
Dishat Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 Hi. I had initially booked visa appointment at Toronto consulate, but after some inquiries came to know that you have to leave your US citizen kid with babysitter as he does not need visa stamping So, we had visa stamping appointment rescheduled to 12/27/2012 at Ottawa US consulate. They allowed my son who is US citizen. We showed his passport for ID. Even stroller and blanket were allowed after passing through scanner. We did not take any food items or water. Inside the consulate there are some children story books to keep them busy. I recommend people with kids going to Ottawa consulate
