Visiting USA on H1b

Hi ,

I just got my H1b Approved and iam planning to travell in 2 months.i got a project assignment in Kenya in JAN13 and will complete in 20 days and returns to india.once i reach india will be travelling to USA with in 1 month.

My question is "can we travell to kenya or any other country once we get H1B"? Will we get any issues in port of entry if we visit any other country?

When you say "I just got my H1b Approved" .. what does it mean? Can I assume you got your VISA stamped?

If not ..make sure you put 'Kenya' as the one of the country you visited in the last 5 yrs on your DS 160 form.

Either way ..you are fine .. travelling to any other country has nothing to do with your H1B approval ..

If you use the H1, you have to start working for the H1 employer.

You can not use the H1 as a visitor visa.

H1B is not bonded labor or slavery. You can visit any country you want before or after.

I will explain my scenario clearly.

I got H1B visa stampped. i have valied offer letter and client letter from my employer in US.so before moving to USA i will complete a small project work in Kenya for 20 days and then move to USA. My Question is will it be any probelm at port of entry in USA.
