Can time spent on H4 in US during the 6 year H1 period be recaptured?

Hi,

I was on H4 for a period of 4 months while I transitioned to a new job. My H1B will expire in Nov 2013 with already time captured from time spent outside country.

Is it possible to recapture the time spent on H4 while in US ?

Yes if you have proof.

Time spent on H4 does not count towards the 6-year H1 limit.

I looked through the forum, but for some reason this topic is not much talked about. I know time captured outside can be recaptured. But wanted to confirm if i could recapture the tme spent on H4 while in US.

I do have the proof and those 4 additional months will be great benefit for me.
