H1 Expired and extension is pending in General processing

Hi Group,

My H1 expired in September and my H1 extension was filed 4 days before the expiry. Now in the worst case if my H1 gets denied in (say)January what shall be my status in USA. Will I be out of status immediately and what will be its implication on my future stay in USA(either on H1 or for GC processing) even if I get another employer immediately after H1 denial.

My PERM is approved through my current employer and I-140 is not filed.

Should I convert the general processing of the H1 extension to the premium processing.

You will be out of status. A new approval would likely require CP

I have an approved H1B application by employer-B. Do you want me to just join employer-B to be at safer side. Inspite of my PERM is approved via employer-A

Do not do anything you may hear in the forum. Talk to your employer and convert to PP.
