Applying H1B Principal applicant and H4 Dependent visa application seperately

Hi,

I am working as a FTE, with a valid H1B till 2014/08 and will be getting married in 2012/12.

Currently I didnt get visa stamping since I had changed employers while in the US, so I have booked the visa appointment in Nov end.

Now my question is, is it ok if my spouse goes to the H4 visa interview in december seperately?

Also is it ok if I get the visa appointment before the marriage itself for my spouse ?

Would really appreciate any help.

I am in a similar situation. I think for you its OK if your wife goes at a later date. You cannot go together without the marriage is registered. In my case my visa will be needing a clearance, so I am not sure if I have to wait until my visa is approved or can I send my wife for a H4 visa while mine is pending approval.
