COS h1b to b2 extension - Urgent Help Needed!!!

A few months ago I filed COS (from h1b to b2) which is still pending.

The departure date that I stated in my application is around the corner, but recently I realized that for personal reasons I will need to stay longer than originally expected.

Is there a way to file a revised I539 application with an updated departure date?

If so, what is the procedure? Will appreciate prompt response as this is urgent.
