t345
Hello Everyone, I had applied for I-485 in Dec 2010 through family based category. I was called for interview but since the priority date had retrogressed by then, the interviewer informed us that we have to wait for the dates to be current again and he could not issue the green card then. My priority date became current again this month (Nov 2012). Could you please advice on what I should do next? Should I call USCIS and open a ticket (SR)? Or make info pass appointment? My concern is that in the letter I got after my interview, it says not to call USCIS to check status for 90 days after the dates become current. All your advice and help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Link to comment
t345
To add on to my above question ... When I check my case status online in USCIS website, I see the status as "Interview and Testing", even though my interview was over in March 2011. This is another reason that makes me want to contact USCIS but the letter I got after interview states that USCIS should not be contacted before 90 days after priority date becomes current again. Is it ok to contact USCIS to open an SR? Thank you. Link to comment
t345
One more note to my above question... Also could you tell me how long it usually takes(on average) to receive a green card after the priority date becomes current (in cases like mine where 485 has been applied and interview is already over) Link to comment
