H1B Stamping and re-entry

Hi ,

I got my H1 B approval for 1yr this year till oct '13. I just came to know that my project is going to end in Dec '12. I need to visit India for my sis marriage in the 2nd week of Dec. The question I have is can i book a visa slot for interview before Dec end and attend the interview with the Client and vendor letter.I have presently ,In my client letter I have "the project is through Dec 31 and may be extended based on proj requirements"..

The other question I have is ,if i move to a new client and go for H1 Amendment and again apply for H1 extension next year(in April/May) . In case if my extension gets approved then if i go for Visa stamping will i be going for my this years(new) Visa stamping or for the extension .Since my extension would start from Oct '13.On which Visa stamping (new/extension)will i be entering the country if i go for stamping next year in june/july ..

The questions might be silly ,but thats my situation..
