Reentering USA in FEB while visa is valid till OCT

Hello Friends,

I am currently carrying valid/stamped visa till OCT'13. I am going to INDIA for my wedding in FEB'13. My employer will extend my visa but I was thinking to go for stamping in my next trip to india as i have more than 6 months valid visa (FEB to OCT).

As I will be carrying new I797 which will give me new I94 (valid till OCT'16), i think I am OK for not to go for stamping this time. Please confirm.
