hope2009
Hello, I need your help, I have lost my green card outside the US. I went to the nearest embassy and they told me to pay 165$ for a transportation letter. My question is: after I get the transportation letter and enter the US, what needs to me done? I understand I need to file I-90 for a replacement card? and mail supporting document? how long does that process take? and how long will it take for me to get the replaced green card? Thanks for replying this is urgent. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You seem to have all the necessary information. It would take up to 6 months possibly sooner. Link to comment

itstud
I am wondering if yoo had to wait at port of entry in US to finish all formalities of applying new GC ? Did they allow you to go through custom ? I understand transportation letter is only enables you to travel to US in an airline ? doesnt guarantee entry !! I am in same situation. Link to comment
