H1B extension period with new employer (I140 approved with current employer)

Hi.. If I change employers in my 4th or 5th year H1B and have an approved 140 (not revoked) with my current employer, would I get an H1B extension for 3 years with the new employer (let s say it s full time and no contract length restrictions) or would I get H1B with expiry date as end of my 6 year H1B limit?

I am trying to understand if extension beyond 6th year H1B is given even in 4th or 5th year also based on the scenario above or only in final year of H1B?

You would get a 3 year extension from the time of application.
