H1B Stamping in Ottawa - for pontevecchio and JoeF

Hi Pontevecchio and JoeF,

I have been trying to get a firm answer regarding this situation. I am planning to have my H1B visa interview in Ottawa later this month. I am from an engineering but non-IT background, I work for my employer full time (in the same field as my degree) at my employer location. I have been hearing about EVC mode, client letter, etc. – not sure what that is all about? I am planning to carry my employment letter from my employer. Any suggestions on how to address the issue of end client or client letter or EVC when you do not belong to an IT background? How to answer that question when the VO asks if you have a client letter, EVC mode, etc.?

I am in non IT field as well. I work for my employer directly, not consulting. I went with employer letter, LCA, I129 and I797. I didnt know EVC or EC anything before I went for interview.

All he asked was who is your employer?..thats it.

VO knows that you do not have client or vendor..he will just ask about your emplooyer.

The issue of client letter is not applicable to you. You should have no trouble getting the visa stamped,. You are asking what the response should be if the VO asks you whether you are a Martian? LOL. Stop overthinking the issue.
