H-4 Visa Stamping for Wife

Hi,

I am on H-1 B visa in the US. I have my I-140 approved. My wife needs to go to India and she will need to have her visa stamped. She will have approved H-4 petition along with my I-797. My Visa Stamp expired last year, however My I-797 is still valid. I

Is it possible for her to get her H-4 stamped, without my H-1 B being stamped. Has anyone faced this scenario before. I have my concerns going to India for H-1 B stamping for obvious reasons.
