The client letter given to him states that the start date is 1 oct 2012. But after the visa is approved,now his employer says that the start date would be 15 oct 2012. I have my H1b approved as well and my start date is 1 oct 2012. So my husband prefers to travel with me and reach US by 30 sep 2012 and start working for his employer from 15 oct 2012. This means he will not be in payroll for the first 15 days. Will this be a problem? Also if my work location is phoenix should be port of entry also be phoenix or it could any location within US? rohang Posted September 26, 2012 Report Share Posted September 26, 2012 Not sure about your first question, but regarding 2nd its not compulsory that your POE should be "phoenix", but you should have travel document till your destination. I have done this multiple times. Link to comment
